JOB OBJECTIVES The Technical Instructor is responsible for the competent delivery of their relevant stream subjects offered within the scope of ARX course offerings. The instructor also expected to participate in the delivery of specialist subjects relevant to their stream, which are embedded within other stream courses.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Teach the theory and practical requirements within the applicable trade stream.
  • Conduct examinations, and participate in the preparation, correction and assessment of examination papers, student reports and assignments.
  • Participate in the counselling, excursions, remediation and administration of students.
  • Participate in the development and generation of class notes, teaching materials and practical activities.
  • Remain up to date with technological developments in the aerospace industry and, in particular, the appointee’s area of expertise.
  • Monitor and self-evaluate teaching performance to maintain a high standard, which provides optimal student learning opportunities.
  • Participate in developing, generating and reviewing class notes and teaching material.
  • Maintain and monitor classroom learning activities with due regard to organization commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Undertake other duties as Related to the role by the accountable / reporting Manager and Senior Management.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Well-developed skills in teaching technology such as Blackboard, and Brightspace.
  • Strong organisational skills, including prioritising work, dealing with competing demands, managing time effectively, and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to effectively use new computer systems.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • A diploma is the minimum, but a bachelor’s degree is highly desirable.
  • Hold qualifications licensed by GACA, FAA, EASA, TSI.
  • Demonstrated experience within a line and workshop setting or as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
  • Non-native English speaker Must obtain IELTS certification as per the company regulations.
  • Six (6 years) of working experience in the field of aircraft maintenance. It is preferred if 3 years of them are in aircraft maintenance teaching.

JOB OBJECTIVES:

The EFL Instructor is responsible for delivery of knowledge and skills training in English as a Foreign Language offered in accordance with the approved curriculum and the ARX policies and procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and deliver clear, pedagogically, and professionally sound lessons using effective engagement techniques.
  • Foster a student centred environment using effective classroom management strategies.
  • Maintain current, relevant, and engaging curricula and materials.
  • Maintain respect and responsibility for all teaching resources and teaching areas allocated for lessons.
  • Participate in the continuing review of curriculum content, teaching methods and methods of student assessment.
  • Conduct examinations, and participate in the preparation, correction and assessment of examination papers and assignments.
  • Prepare clear, pedagogically, and professionally sound documentation and reports and submit in the time frames stipulated by the accountable / reporting Manager.
  • Participate in the counselling, remediation, and administration of students.
  • Maintain records of course material delivered.
  • Participate in student field excursions and their supervision.
  • Be committed to maintaining current professional competence by active engagement in professional development activities whenever offered by ARX.
  • Monitor and self-evaluate teaching performance.
  • Maintain awareness regarding relevant legislation.
  • Maintain and monitor classroom learning activities with due regard to ARX’s commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Monitor student behaviour, reporting on behaviour in the classroom and recording infractions.
  • Work with the Foundation management team to achieve a minimum of 85% student attendance.
  • Work with the Foundation Management team to improve student participation and progression.
  • Maintain accurate daily attendance.
  • Undertake other duties related to the role given by the accountable / reporting Manager and Senior Management.
  • Take a proactive role in one’s own continual professional development and build a community of shared practice and continual growth.
  • Comply with ARX’s requirements of: Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation; Code of Conduct; Policies and Procedures

Requirements

  • Diploma degree in a related field from an accredited university from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • Native English speaker.
  • Six (6) Years experience in related field.
  • Previous teaching experience Three (3 years) in the post-secondary, technical or vocational sector.
  • Demonstrated experience developing innovative teaching and learning materials and resources.
  • (CELTA or TEFL qualification including a minimum of 120 hours of face-to-face study and 6 hours of observed teaching practice - Online certificates cannot be considered).
  • Candidates with a PGCE or equivalent are strongly encouraged to apply.
